Biography
Dr. Cook is a third-generation physician from Annapolis, Maryland. He now resides in Southern Maryland with his wife and three children.
Dr Cook attended Howard University for his undergraduate education and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and minored in Chemistry and Allied Health. While in college, he played lacrosse for the Bisons and was a founding member of the team. Dr. Cook graduated as a third-generation Physician from the Howard University School of Medicine, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Union Memorial/University of Maryland program in Baltimore, Maryland, which is also known for being one of the nation’s top heart institutes, a top 100 hospital ranked by US News, and the official hospital for the Baltimore Ravens football team.

Dr. Cook also is the current the President of the Charles County Medical Society in Maryland, is a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity where he serves on their International Prostate Cancer Prevention and Awareness Board. He is a past or present member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Physician Executives, the American College of Physicians, the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, the National Association of Emergency Medical Service Physicians and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cook currently serves as the official Team Physician for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs professional baseball team, is an Associate Program Member at the University of Maryland Medical Center, has a Courtesy Faculty Appointment at the George Washington School of Nursing, serves as a Physician with the Maryland Medical Reserve Corps and was a past Physician Peer Member for the State of Maryland Board of Physicians.
Dr Cook serves as a consulting Physician, National Medical Director, Regional and local Medical Director, Collaborating Physician, Supervising Physician, Certified Physician Medical Lab Director of Moderately Complex Laboratories, and Emergency Medical Services Medical Director to various companies throughout the US and is licensed to practice medicine in nearly 40 states including the District Of Columbia. Dr Cook serves as a clinical preceptor for medical, PA and nurse practitioner students at his ambulatory office and is also passionate about volunteering within the community through performing free cancer screenings, vaccinations, hosting workshops on diabetes, hypertension and numerous other chronic diseases.

Dr Cook's love of life include his family, friends, patients, colleagues, reading, politics (ran for office twice), sports (was a state champion lacrosse player and is a 1st degree black-belt in the mixed martial art of Canido who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in national competition), plays the trumpet, percussion and baritone and loves to exercise regularly.
